The Festival of Halloween was founded in 2024 by lifelong Halloween enthusiasts Stasia Read and Andrea Beattie, united by a shared passion for all things spooky, creative and delightfully macabre.

Despite being based in different states — Andrea in Melbourne and Stasia in Adelaide — the pair brought together their love of Halloween to create South Australia's first dedicated Festival of Halloween, celebrating the season they love with fellow fans.

Andrea is the founder of Hallozween, Australia's home of Halloween, and the creator of the Dark Alchemy Expo, while Stasia is the founder of Halloween Events Co. Adelaide, renowned for bringing immersive Halloween experiences to South Australia.

The Festival of Halloween made its debut at the historic Waterside Workers Hall in Port Adelaide in 2024 before growing into larger venues, including The Market Shed on Holland and now its home at The Flour Shed in the heart of Port Adelaide.

Today, the Festival of Halloween brings together creators, artists, performers, collectors, food vendors and Halloween lovers from across Australia for a weekend celebrating the strange, spooky and spectacular. Whether you're searching for handcrafted treasures, incredible entertainment, unique experiences or simply an excuse to celebrate Halloween a little earlier, there's something for every ghost, ghoul and pumpkin lover.

After all, Halloween isn't just one night of the year — it's a community.
